Discovering Your Target Audience - Your Customer Avatar

Discovering Your Target Audience

This path involves first building a minimum viable audience (MVA), by writing content that speaks to my target audience.

After reaching an audience size of about 2,000, I should have a better understanding of:

who they are
what they like
what problems they have and
what solutions they need.

The focus is to serve my audience by providing the most useful information possible.

Climbing Up the Ladder: The Road to Building a 7 Figure Business by Building a $7k per Month Business

This is a rather long title but I have to confess it is influenced by a podcast I listened to. The podcast was a recording of a  conversation between Pat Flynn and Clay Collins where Clay shared his origin story of how he built a great company… ….and he shares a path to building a business from the ground up to first $7k per month and then scaling up to a 7 Figure business. He compares the idea of Laddering to the growth of a company we all know and love…Netflix. Netflix started off by purchasing DVDs and shipping them to clients. Their business model was successful enough to have them compete and upstage Blockbuster. That was the first rung of Netflix’s ladder. Their success gave them enough leverage to implement their second rung and that was to add to their services. They did so by adding a streaming service. Consumers naturally took this move as a progression toward the service they were already providing. If you look underneath the hood you’ll realize that the company went through a major transformation. They had to hire developers, learn new technologies and add more assets to the company. They effectively grew their audience by offering their shipping and streaming services. The third rung was to leverage their second rung by adding their streaming service and becoming a production studio. I’ve personally enjoyed watching some of their original series such as Luke Cage and Stranger Things. In a matter of a few years,… Read More »Climbing Up the Ladder: The Road to Building a 7 Figure Business by Building a $7k per Month Business

Why I shrunk My List In Aweber

This is not my first time cleaning up my email list. As a matter of fact my email list would have probably reached 80,000 members by now if I hadn’t taken the time to clean it up.  As I’m writing this post I’m about to do something drastic. I’ve had my aweber account for more than a year now and looking at the number in my email list it gives me a sense of pride.   The bigger the numbers are the better people perceive you. I made a promise to myself this year to not let my ego influence my business. I should only follow my numbers and work on improving things where needed.   I’m About To Delete A Huge Chunk of My Email List   Why am I taking such a drastic measure? Well it’s simple my list needs to be cleaned. My Aweber bill is getting bigger and bigger every month. I’ve paid  as much as $500+ a month to maintain my aweber account and list. Looking at my email open rate and the click through rate I know that unfortunately not everyone is opening my emails. Some people in my email list are no longer opening my emails. Can I blame them? Not really I can’t. I read somewhere that the average person receives about 147 emails per day! that’s just nuts. How can one person possibly keep track of all the emails in that case. I also failed at providing value to my email… Read More »Why I shrunk My List In Aweber

Traffic Monsoon Review And Case Study

There is a lot of buzz about Traffic Monsoon these days and you’ve probably heard of it. Chances are that by now you have seen screenshots of revenue proof, or heard outrageous claims that if you join Traffic Monsoon you can quit your job and make money online. While that is outrageous I can confirm that you can use it to generate a revenue online. So Is Traffic Monsoon a Scam? Judging from my own experience I would have to say no. So what exactly is this bizarre website? In short it’s an advertising network which has a revenue sharing component to it. So a lot of people think it is a scam. I think that if it was, it would have been shutdown by now. I’ve personally generated some revenue from it and at the time of writing this post I hear they are in the process of establishing their own credit card company which I think is great and it speaks volumes for their success. The basis of this company is to help people advertise their websites through the means of banners. They have created a network where one can place their banner ads to attract visitors to their website. There are two ways of doing this, one is free and the other is paid. You get more value by paying to get your visitors. I will go into more details later. The most attractive part of this service is that as a member you get paid simply… Read More »Traffic Monsoon Review And Case Study

Email Marketing – How to build a list of 50000 subscribers in less than 6 months

I get a lot of great questions from my subscribers. Some of the emails I receive are emails that ask for help… Some emails just have the word “help”… with nothing else in the email body…

Please don’t be that person. It’s hard to provide guidance if we don’t know what problem we are trying to resolve.

So I’m writing this post to explain how I built a massive list of 50,000+ email subscribers, with Aweber. I hope you get to use this post as a blueprint
